Meet The Team

Dr Denise Green
Dr. Denise has been a veterinary surgeon for over 30 years (but we're not saying she's old!)

Denise is a hard-working and fun-loving gal and when she's not performing surgery, she's performing on her beautiful horse!

Denise goes full-out with everything she does, and she LOVES her job!

Tracy Satchell, DVM, MS
Tracy graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2010 and developed her medical and surgical skills in general practice for four years. In 2015, she co-founded a Humane Alliance-partnered high-volume spay/neuter clinic in London Ontario. Tracy completed a Graduate Certificate in Shelter Medicine in 2015 and went on to achieve a  Master of Science in Veterinary Medical Sciences with a concentration in Shelter Medicine in 2018, through the University of Florida. She worked for the City of London as a shelter veterinarian for 6 years and became a travelling locum surgeon in 2024. In her spare time, she enjoys the quiet moments at home with her husband and 3 cats, travelling, curling, and gardening.

Dr Rebecca Lang
Rebecca graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, United Kingdom in 2009. Since then she has worked in small animal general practice and emergency hospitals. She has also volunteered in several high-quality high-volume sterilisation clinics in Greece and on the
Galapagos Islands.
She moved to Toronto, Ontario in March 2024 and joined our team at Southeastern spay and neutering clinic in July 2024 as well as offering relief locuming in her local area.
In additional to work she is completing a masters degree in Conservation Medicine of which sterilisation of pets and reducing their impact on wildlife is particularly important to her.
Outside of work Rebecca loves traveling and is keen to explore both American continents, she also has a passion for all sports involving water, especially scuba diving and enjoys baking and cinema.

Barb Bacon
Hospital Administrator
Barb is the "Jill-of-all-trades" in the clinic and manages the day to day running of the place. If you want anything done, just ask Barb!

Barb is an avid runner and cyclist, and has completed over 100 half-marathons (we're not sure why).

Barb is a huge advocate for local rescues, and you can usually find a few of her foster cats living at the clinic!

Lisa Smith
Jr Hospital Administrator
Lisa's background is in the medical laboratory, but she has left human medicine and gone over to the DOG side! You can find Lisa's smiling face behind our front desk, in the back with the animals or working with Barb. Lisa is training to let Barb retire in the distance future.

When Lisa is not answering phones or generally organizing the clinic, she spends time with her husband Pat, their dog, Harley Quinn and cat Monster :)

Pat Smith, VA, Office Manager
Pat is our all-around IT guy, handyman, recovery room support and token male! If it's broken, we call Pat!

Pat loves working with animals, and he has a special affinity for cats and nail polish (we're not sure why). When he's not in the recovery room or repairing something, he likes to spend time with his wife Lisa, their dog Harley Quinn and crazy cat Monster!

Kayla Greenough RVT
Kayla graduated in 2017 from St. Lawrence College. She has worked with animals all her life, from big to small, and has taken a keen interest in surgery.

Outside of work, her family keeps her busy. Kayla enjoys reading and camping with her Belgian Malinois, husband and human babies.

Emily Hoselton
Emily spends her days holding and prepping all the patients for surgery, basically cuddling and cleaning all the four legged friends that stop by for a visit.

When Emily isn't here she's hanging out with her girl Kleo or keeping her cat Hershey out of trouble.

Brittany Veen VA
Brittany is one of our fantastic VAs. When she isn't doing an outstanding job as our lead recovery she's out in the barn with her girl Gemma.

Nikki Fairman VA
Nikki has a passion for animal welfare, and you will find her at our front desk answering phones and emails, or you'll find her outside going over pre and post-op instructions.
Outside of work, Nikki is an avid horseback rider, spending much of her free time around horses. Her deep connection with animals, both professionally and personally, reflects her lifelong dedication to their well-being

Samantha Williams
Sam came to us as a co-op student, she did an amazing job and is never allowed to leave. She does plan to attend college for her RVT in the near future.

Shayla Harp
When not working with animals, Shayla spends her time relaxing at the cottage and spending time with her family and fur babies.

Bob
Every vet clinic needs a cat!

Our cat Bob like to help out during the day, but we often find him sleeping on the job.
